What to Wear When The Weather Has a Mind of Its Own

Born and raised in New York, I know how it feels to start the day comfortably in a dress and end it freezing and soaking wet from an unpredictable rainstorm. Sometimes I would just give up and throw on whatever I could find. The transitional fall weather makes it hard to style yourself and leave the house feeling confident that you won’t be too hot or too cold. This year, the struggle must come to an end.
Here are some ways to style yourself for this confusing weather to take on the battle of Mother Nature.

As you can see, it’s all about the layers. If you’re heading out for the day, add a cute jacket, sweater, or maybe some leg warmers. We don’t have to rush to pants and jackets quite yet— I know I’m a sucker for a mini skirt and something warm on top.
These looks are all inspired by my own style, so using pieces you already have in your closet is the best way to discover a new dimension to your own personal sense of fashion that can last any day in these coming weeks.
