Letter from the Editors

A celebration of Embodied’s history inevitably ponders the trajectory of its future. The reminiscence of the past decade brought about a metamorphosis of existing tradition. The achievements of last year’s print revitalization mistakenly begs the question: How do we top it?

The intent is not to surpass our former works, for that unnecessarily prompts our history to be in competition with our present. Rather, we intend to take all that we embody and progress it into a new silhouette reflective of those that contribute to it. We take our accomplishments and question how we can use the new familiar to develop something ingenious.

Last year closed the beginning decade of Embodied and drove us forward into the next. This year, we take that momentum and promise to continue the foundation laid for us. People’s written words are becoming increasingly valuable and the idiosyncratic embodiment of the human mind increasingly rare. We promise to never loosen our dedication to this purpose.

We are unwaveringly excited to push Embodied into the next decade and discover where our minds lead us.

love, Embodied
